Day 4: Young Life Club

JOURNAL ENTRY BY CHERIE DURST

Today was the same schedule as yesterday, except we are going off the reservation for dinner. Dinner will be at a local restaurant, the Blue Heron, with monkeys in the trees. Last night after dinner, we gathered to sing, share and listen to Costa. Tonight we are looking forward to hearing from Chris.

The people at the Young Life Club House are starting to remember our names. The men continued concrete work on the walls and gate. The perimeter is now almost complete. Working with the kids evolved from games to hugs, hand holding and lap sitting for ALL the kids. It’s hard to hold 15 kids at a time! Camille continued talking to the young man interested in the Bible from yesterday. She discovered he is a Lutheran looking for better ways to share the gospel with Muslims. It is amazing to watch God using his people to share the gospel.

We had 3 people not join us today due to health concerns- an ankle, hamstring, and stomach. Please pray for Courtney, Carston and Hedda.
