Final Mountain Gear & Equipment Check, Safety Briefing with Guides, Trip Host Orientation, Special Group Dinner & Overnight at Mount Meru Hotel in Arusha.

UPDATE FROM OUR TEAM

Jambo jambo! (NOT Jamba). Day 2 is down and the group is ready to rock and roll. All systems are go after a series of successful gear checks (sans Scott who didn’t need a check because he’s so locked in, not because his bag is still en route via Amsterdam) and the group is buzzing with anticipation! Chief Guide Samir aka “Simba”, who in 1998 summited and came down Kili in 18 hours flat, left the group feeling prepared after the trip briefing. With 2 days and 11 Rusty basketball stories under our belts, the group feels ready to conquer Kilimanjaro. Day 3 and climbing day 1 here we come! (Rostan McBryde)
