Day 8: Final Day
Now we’re back in Cusco, sore but glowing. Over dinner last night (with a live opera show!), we swapped trail stories — who fell (gracefully), who carried snacks like a hero, and who led the charge up the pass. But more than that, we talked about how this trip is already reshaping our faith. Not in big, flashy ways — but in the slow, quiet realization that God meets us in the wilderness. That His creation speaks volumes. And that walking with Him — and with each other — is worth every step.
We’re spending our final day together in Cusco, and we can’t wait to see you all soon, with full hearts, full journals, and probably some dirty laundry.
With love from the trail,
Mary and Chandler (and all your favorite trekkers)
P.S. Special thanks to our amazing outfitter, Alpaca Expeditions! We couldn’t have done it without Puma, Rosa, and Romario.

This is the last day for the group in Cusco. Today is a day to relax, enjoy the beautiful Belmond Hotel and tour the city and enjoy some shopping, eating, etc. The trip will end with a celebration dinner before heading back home. It could not have been a more perfect week in Peru with a wonderful team! Here are some pictures from their week together!
