Day 11: Final Day in Arusha

Today was our last day as a full group. Lisa & Charlie are heading out to the Serengeti on Safari in the morning. I think it’s safe to say that we were all excited that there was no hiking planned for our day today! We set out on the town mid-morning, our first stop was a local coffee producer. We learned about their roasting process, heard about who they supply (30% Starbucks), and were given the opportunity to purchase fresh coffee directly from the source. Afterwards we did some shopping at local markets which was a lot of fun. This evening we enjoyed our final family celebration dinner in Arusha at the Coffee Lodge.

John, Gabriel & Samson joined us, those dudes are truly amazing. It was such a fun night of conversation & reflection over the past 10 days. Bittersweet but far more sweet than bitter. Tomorrow we depart for home. Hard to believe. What a truly AMAZING trip it’s been. Pamoja Pamoja.
