Day 2: Final Gear Check & Mountain Prep Day

Today marks Day 2 of our amazing adventure up to Mount Kilimanjaro!

Today everyone got to enjoy a day of rest and preparation for the climb. We had an awesome a lunch together where we learned new information about our guides and the journey up the Mountain. Later in the day our guides came to check our gear and make sure we are set to climb the mountain tomorrow! Lastly the group enjoyed a nice outdoor dinner together where Papa Deo gave us Words from the lord and wisdom for the Journey ahead.

A big encouragement that stood out is to have a friendship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit wants to have a friendship with you and pursuing that relationship is what to strive for. We are all ready to go after that relationship with Jesus and to challenge ourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually on this climb. The last challenge he gave us is how we walk to say the prayer of “ Love Jesus, Praise Jesus. Love Jesus, Praise Jesus. Love Jesus Praise Jesus.”Good words to climb by and to live by. Tomorrow we set off at 8:30 to start this adventure with the Lord!
