Day 2: Meet with mountain guides and check gear

Day Two of our epic Kilimanjaro Adventure!

BECAUSE TOMORROW WE CLIMB!

Today…we had training from our guides and Drew about the climb. They talked about going slowly…together. In Swahili…our  guides and porters will say to us often…“Polay, Polay, Pemoja, Pemoja”

That’s “slowly, slowly, together, together”

I suppose some things are worth repeating 😊

We talked thru how the climb is more mental than physical…and for us to encourage each so we “don’t freak out”🤣….when we get to what will seem like a “limit”

We then layed our gear out on our beds so the guides could make sure we had everything we needed.

We had a little free time and I went walking with my son, Michael, and we learned things about each other we never knew.

Our supper together with the team was a great time of laughter, and a scripture challenge from Papa Daeo to “thank Jesus and praise Jesus because He Is good ALL the time”

We know all each others names and the “whys” of why we came here.

We had a wonderful time of and prayer.
