Day 10: Final Day in Arusha

If you have followed our blog you have seen it already. We started out as 5 separate families but we have returned to Arusha town as one! Tupo Pamoja! One family bonded together on a journey to the summit. We have a joke that says look out for Stella…she’ll break your heart. On summit morning when you reach Stella Point it’s almost like a false summit. You push so hard to get there and then realize you still have to give more of yourself. Stella is a heartbreaker. On this trip we were continually put into places and situations that required us to need everyone around us. But that is what made us family and as we return back to Arusha our relationships just continue to grow and deepen. 

Today we spent the whole day in Arusha getting to see the local community in action. We shopped at local curio stores, visited a coffee farm, and ended with a a team dinner at the Arusha Coffee Lodge. At dinner we took time to encourage and speak a word of blessing over everyone on the team. It was filled with laughter, tears, and more laughter. It was noted that Beyond Adventures is just that. Beyond the Adventure. This trip was about so much more than the adventure. It was about relationships. We learned that it’s all we’ve truly have!
