Day 4: Arusha Final Prep Day

For the first couple of days, we went to Young Life clubs and also visited the homes of leaders and staff. We also shared lunch with some of the leaders and staff and one of them asked me if I was full after eating. I said yes and he said "Praise the Lord". That's really stuck out to me because I normally take having a full stomach for granted. Today is the final day before we start hiking so we are doing a gear check to make sure we have everything.

As soon as I received the email that I would be climbing the Mt. Kilimanjaro, I quickly became nervous because I knew that it's the highest peak in Africa. But inside of me I was confident because as young life leaders we are used to face challenges no matter the outcomes. So I prepared myself and i was convinced that it's gonna be a great adventure. Then, when I was on the plane above Arusha city, I saw a large giant emerging from the clouds and I started being nervous again...

Once arrived at the hotel, I met a great team from the US, positive people who are ready to take on this challenge with me!!!

Moreover, we've just received tonight some great instructions from the mountain professionals (BEYOND TEAM from Arusha) who will be with us throughout this adventure!!!

Suddenly, I felt reassured and more confident to face the giant and to have an incredible moment of fun with my team!!!

Can't wait to starting this adventure!!!!
