UPDATE FROM THE GROUP

“Farewell Tanzania”

As we spend our last day walking through the rainforest of Tanzania, it was just a week ago that 17 amazing women embarked on a journey to Africa to safari and tackle Mt. kilimanjaro.

All of our reasons for going on the trip were different but we walked away knowing that the mountain always wins and for me and my fellow travelers, that is ok.

We surrendered to the mountain through humility and tears.

We surrender to the base of the mountain just as we all surrender at the feet of our Lord and Savior,

Jesus Christ when we are crushed by life.

When we are broken in whatever way, we support and love one another and remember that we are united in love through Jesus.

For our Tanzania family, we are forever grateful for each of you mirroring the face and heart of Jesus by serving us even in something as simple as tying our boot laces.

We have laughed, cried, sung with joy, shared stories and quizzed each other about Tilly Milly likes and dislikes.

All of us have walked away stronger and have 16 new friends and a new family in the people of Tanzania.

Africa, you will always have a special place in our hearts.

Pamoja, Pamoja.
