Update from the Team:
Today started early with a 4:45 AM meet time to start the sunrise trek up to Kala Patthar to soak in one final panorama view of the Himalayas that have been surrounding us for the past 9 days. The glory has to be earned via headlamp and a near 1,000 ft climb, but the effort paid off. Stunning blue skies among a golden hour glow sealed the deal on an unforgettable experience.
After making it back down to the tea house we quickly began the airport shuffle back down the Lukla (to refuel) and then all the way back to Kathmandu. It’s a pretty wild experience to go from living what has been our reality for the past 9 days to an “in between” reality before flying home.
One things for sure, the showers never felt better and nothing held the group back from eating dinner at Hard Rock Cafe tonight. While we still have one more day in Kathmandu, the conversations have already begun around the details we don’t want to forget and the lessons we hope to take home with us. It’s been a special group to share a special experience with!
